So, I sit here typing away, in a very delicate manner. Everything hurts...
Just finished 90mins of a new work out routine involving super sets. It left my hand trembling and took the bounce in my step away, leaving me walking slowly back to the changing rooms. But with a huge grin. That was awesome.
Of course, my training this week wasn't just today. On Sunday I signed back up to a gym. And on Wednesday found myself thrown into a cup game of rugby. Playing out of position, with unfamiliar friends, and very rusty, having not played in 11 years.... it was hard work, but a great laugh. I'm looking forward to playing again too. Thursday was my first session at the gym with a personal trainer. He had me using kettle bells, completely unfamiliar to me too and well out of my comfort zone. And it also hurt muscles I never used before. I had to take a real good rest the following day just to get myself back into the world.
I'm determined to get it done twice a week and to get it right. It has shown my that my form is miles away from good and will need extra work.
The hard training has clearly begun and I'm pleased with it... I know it will get me to the top!
Of course thats not the biggest news this week... The big news is thanks to more sexy friends, and a collections at an awards evening...
WE'VE HIT THE BIG £3000!!!
I really am over the moon... I had no idea so many people would be backing me on this and already the challenge is on "to make the pie higher*." I really don't think I can raise the target more... the final £1000 was very difficult and took so much time and lost a lot of sleep... but there have been a few pledges from people to put some money down and I'm sure there will be a few hundred pounds more... However, it hasn't quite stopped there... and I have another charity project in coming up after this... STAY TUNED! lol!
