If someone can get this onto a t-shirt, I'll wear it the whole time I'm in Africa LOL!
To start off, its a negative note... after 17 days of no booze I found myself in unplanned circumstances and must have downed about 20 shots of vodka. I will pay for it today, not with a hangover, but I will add a tone of cardio to my supersets workout today.
The idea of course, fall off the wagon, feel the pain.
Of course, every bad note deserves a good note... the training is going well. Of course, its early days but I feel great (and tired, and out of breath, and have trouble walking). I'm back playing football, although fear of injury means I'm not turning on the pace (insert laughs here, yes I try to move faster sometimes lol). And I'm choosing to sit back in goal... but I still work up a hear rate and I think its great between the harder workout sessions.
On the fund raising front... having hit the £3k I've been concentrating more on the training efforts. But thanks to my mother a fund raiser is being held in France (a truly international charity effort, with my American friends contributing loads!).
From the sounds of it, the restaurant is over booked with more people asking for reservations. I can say for sure, this will be a fun night, and hopefully, add something to the total too.
I've also been on to a few larger sponsors to help with the kit costs. The idea being that kit the is used just for the trip is auctioned off after, therefore its helps me getting up there and still adds to the total. Like I said, just an idea at this stage, and worst case scenario, I spend out on kit and sell it off when I'm back.
I have a load of stuff I need to get rid of, an I think ebay is the way...
So all is looking good!
And you guys are looking good too!
Thanks a million!
