One week down! 23 to go!

Well the first week is done and we've hit 20% of the target. And many have pledged to donate in the near future, so expecting some more soon!

The last few days I've seen some outstanding generosity from distant friends and I was over the moon, feeling good as this was always going to be hard work, and to get this far in this short time.
However the last few days has seen the first of friends openly mocking. I knew there was some talk behind my back, and while it stayed there I couldn't care. But from feeling good about things and being brought down by arrogance and ignorance wasn't nice. Even when I pointed out that I didn't like the comments, and my refusal to arguments in public spaces, I only received more stupid comments, from someone thats supposed to be a friend.

Moving on, and choosing not to let the mocking of the few ruin my efforts, I'm making progress on some smaller events for fund raising.
#SteveStock plans are coming on well, and a few bands are on board, so once they've confirmed, I'm hoping to promote the night some more. If we hit capacity crowd of 120, @£5 per person will add £600 to the total. I'm going to check out adding some prizes to the night in hope of raising more in a raffle.

Also aiming for an EBAYathon, going to sell some bits and all raised will go to Marie Curie. If you got stuff you need to get rid of, give it to me and I'll get what I can for it!

Thanks a million!
